Woodlands Residents Trip to the Seaside with Growing Places Nusery

On 21st July 2021 the Residents of Woodlands enjoyed a trip to Hayling Island Seaside.

The staff and children at Growing Places also joined the trip and Wendy was kind enough to pick everyone up in the minibus. Ian, a Woodlands Care Home volunteer also joined us on the trip.

As Residents enjoyed a stroll on the promenade with staff, they enjoyed watching the children from Growing Places play on the beach and down by the water. Residents reminisced about their childhood and how much they loved visiting the beach back in the good old days.

Nicole, the manager bought all the residents a fish and chip lunch whilst they relaxed on the bench in the sunshine. The residents were taking everything in and appeared to enjoy the day and interacting with one and other.
The Residents enjoyed the beach for a few more hours before heading back home. All in all, the residents and staff had such an amazing day, and are all looking forward to returning to Hayling Island beach soon.
