Brackenlea Care Home showing their dancing skills
Brackenlea Care Home in Shawford, Hampshire have been showing off their dancing skills and supplies of Toiletries and Sanitizer in a positive light after visitors were stopped and as a precaution staff have been made to wear full protective coveralls and face masks.
Residents and staff can be seen happily dancing to Elvis Presley’s Rock around the Clock whilst holding packs of toilet tissues and hand sanitizes. The staff continue to do a fantastic job to protect all residents, by ensuring the Home is stocked up with essentials and entertaining both the residents and each other.
Unfortunately visitors have been stopped from coming to the home to prevent the spread of Covid-19 with alternative options being offered to stay in touch with their loved ones, such as using Skype and FaceTime.
Stef, who is the Activities Coordinator has said that the residents all think we all look funny in our temporary uniform and it hasn’t worried them. Our number 1 priority is the health and safety of our residents who range from early 70’s to 100 years old.
Lovely gesture by the Flower Factory for the staff and residents at Brookvale House
During these difficult times, the smallest token of appreciation can go a long way. So imagine the reaction the staff at Brookvale House had when local florist The Flower Factory in Bevois Valley, Southampton donated these lovely flowers to the staff and residents at the Care Home. Thank you it has really given the Home a lift during these tough times.
Domino’s looking out for Staff at Cross Way House
Another day and another generous donation to one of our Homes. This time the shout out goes to Domino’s for their generous donation of Four large pizzas to the staff at Cross Way House. Thank you for looking out for those who are out on the front line during these difficult times.
